About This Blog

In 2025 I tried to write up a summary of the last three years of AI progress for my network during the Christmas break. But there is just too much to write about. We went from models that forgot what you said half a page ago to agents that autonomously operate computers. What made this possible isn't just one breakthrough, but a series of optimisations across the entire stack.

So instead of a summary, I started a blog to share my thoughts on the rapidly evolving AI landscape (mainly focused around LLMs and Agentic Systems). It's going to be a series of longer articles and notes that walks the reader through the technical advances that got us here, what to expect next, and which research directions actually matter, mixed with some shorter posts on whatever I happen to be thinking about.

I'm especially interested in the question of whether we are at the beginning of a new era of technological progress, where AI agents will rapidly improve themselves and transform every aspect of our lives, or whether we are facing fundamental limits that will prevent these systems from reaching human-level intelligence and beyond.

Whether you're a fellow engineer, a researcher, or just curious about where all this is going, I hope you find something here worth your time.
